The Beautification Committee is made up of members who have contacts with individuals and organizations throughout Southwest Virginia.  The Beautification Committee seeks contributions to purchase tangible items such as flags and poles, benches, flora and fauna, and memorials to enhance and support the cemetery.

Our newest project is called "The Veterans' Tribute Arch" and is featured in section 6 on our website.  Check out the details of this project which will provide a permanent memorial to all our veterans interred at Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery.

To date, the committee has obtained a donation from a military organization which provided the beautiful patriotic "Avenue of Flags".  The Avenue is made up of 18 American Flags that are displayed at the entrance to the cemetery during all formal programs.  In addition, a memorial bench was given by an individual in memory of a veteran.
