Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery Volunteers
"To Serve, To Educate, To Honor"
Established in August of 2013, the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery Volunteers is a nonprofit 501 (C) (3) organization. Our membership includes private citizens, members of military units such as the UAW Local 2069 Veterans Committee and members of civic and industrial groups.
The overall goal of the group is to support the cemetery in any project that enhances the activities associated with the veterans who are buried there, their families, and the community.
Included within the activities of the SWVAVCV are the purchase and placement of wreaths each December on every veteran's grave site, obtaining tangible items to enhance or support the cemetery, and educating the public about the cemetery and the benefits available to veterans and their families.
