Every Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery Volunteer is a member of the Outreach Committee. The Committee has two goals. The first goal is educating the public about the burial benefits for Veterans and their spouses. The second goal is providing information about the cemetery and the volunteers to any interested group. The volunteers participate in the Lion’s Club Flea Market in Dublin each year. The volunteers also participate in local community fairs, symposiums and other gatherings spreading information about the Veterans Cemetery.
An Ambassador attends each Veteran's funeral held at the cemetery as our way of honoring the veteran for their service to our country and to ensure that no veteran is ever buried alone.
Volunteer ladies contribute accessories to "Breast Cancer Awareness" Bazaar.
Volunteers contribute toys for Marine Corps "Toys for Tots" drive at Christmas.
Volunteers attend AMVET's Carillon Dedication Program at the cemetery.
